So for the sake of argument, let’s call this picture the thesis. Now I need an antithesis. It would be too easy to turn that picture into an idea of a woman held captive or with Stockholm syndrome, and that story has been told a million times before. But by formulating an antithesis, we’re guaranteed an idea that likely has not existed or been attempted. There’s no guarantee that the idea will be good, but it will be original.
